Security Window Film (12 mil.)
From: $39.99
Similar in make-up to our 8 mil. Security Film, the 12 mil. Security Window Film offers the highest protection against robbery attempts, household accident, wind damage, and even some outside explosion safety. Because the film is 1½ times thicker than the 8 mil, this gives it an added layer of resistance; resulting in an even harder film for burglars to get through and in some cases causing objects will simply bounce off the glass on impact. It’s also designed to hold the glass together, in the event of a breakage. The R07503 Security Film is a must have for the home safety conscious. Take a look at the excellent video below to see it in action! Our films are designed and constructed the same as the PET films discussed in this Discovery Channel Video:

All security films are installed on the interior surface of a window. The best method of installation is to remove the glass from the window frame, install the film, and reinstall the glass into the frame. The frame will act as an anchor to the film. If this is not possible, a bead of clear (or white, if preferred) silicone around the edge of the glass, about 24-48 hours after installation, is highly recommended. This will keep the glass and film firmly anchored in the frame if the glass is broken.
